MONTREAL RENT BECAME 10% MORE EXPENSIVE SINCE LAST YEAR

BY MICHAEL HURLEY
Montreal has been ranked as the 16th most expensive city in Canada for rent.

According to Zumper's Canadian National Rent Report, the price of one-bedroom in the city is, on average, $1,490, and the price of a two-bedroom unit is $1,910. Compared to last year, Montreal's one-bedroom unit prices have increased by 10.4% while the price of renting two bedrooms has gone up by 9.10%.

Still, we should consider ourselves lucky that in a bustling city like Montreal, we only rank 16th for rent costs.
